Data structure

The profile 50 km long is considered with 33 sites (X = 0.00, 4.00, 6.50, 8.50, 10.00, 11.25, 12.50, 13.75, 15.00, 16.25, 17.50, 18.75, 20.00, 21.25, 22.50, 23.75, 25.00, 26.25, 27.50, 28.75, 30.00, 31.25, 32.50, 33.75, 35.00, 36.25, 37.50, 38.75, 40.00, 41.50, 43.50, 46.00, 50.00 km)

All sites are at the ground surface (Z = 0 km).

The period range is of 3.5 decades wide (T = 1, 3, 10, 30, 100, 300, 1000, 3000 s).

The following bi-modal MT responses in each site are given for each period: apparent resistivity and impedance phase in both TE(EP) and TM(HP) modes, and tipper component in TE mode.

Data are presented as original data tables (file 2S2S.DTB) and in the optional J-format (file 2S2S.DTJ).

Important comments

• The plane wave model excitation is considered with time dependence given by exp(-iwt).
• TE impedance phase is reduced to quadrant [-90,0].
• Data modelling was done by finite-difference forward procedure of the inversion code INV2D_FF (Golubev, Varentsov) at the grid of 57x42 nodes in the modelling area [-370,420]x[-200,110] km.
• Data errors submitted (being within the range of 10%) characterize quite well error distribution for sites and components (except data with outliers and static shifts), but may have some shift in a general level.
